We regularly update this page to provide you the latest policy and program information on NAIS at the Federal level.

These one-page anecdotes showcase successful outreach tactics used by Extension educators to inform producers about NAIS. The techniques described can be adapted to suit specific State or local needs.

The images in the library are designed to enhance NAIS content in your presentations, newsletters and brochures. The library includes photos of animals from six different species groups, as well as logos and other useful images.

This presentation contains a thorough overview of NAIS. It is designed to be used in any of these ways:

NAIS 4-H Powerpoint Presentation (PPT; 5MB)

This presentation for youth producers and exhibitors explains what NAIS is, why it is important, and how they can get involved. It details:

• The speed in which animal disease can spread
• The importance of premises registration
• How animal ID helps prevent the spread of disease
• How they, as youth producers and exhibitors, can set up their own animal travel log

You can order professionally produced NAIS brochures at no cost. In addition, NAIS factsheets covering a broad range of topics are available for you to reproduce. These materials are ideal for distributing at events, meetings and farm visits. Or, take the content and use it in your own materials.

This video provides an overview of the NAIS program with an emphasis on the importance of premises registration. Interviews with State veterinarians as well as producers are featured. The video is designed to help you introduce and review NAIS in your presentations and meetings by stressing the benefits of participation. You can order a DVD through the online order form.
