NAIS Working Groups

Continued grassroots input is critical to the success of NAIS. Accordingly, USDA and its State and industry partners have established Species Working Groups and Issued Based Working Groups to provide recommendations and input as we move forward with the system.

Species Working Groups

Each species working group consists of representatives from various levels and segments of their industry. Current working group reports are available for download from the Quick Downloads menu on the right. These reports are submitted for review to the NAIS Subcommittee of the Secretary's Advisory Committee of Foreign Animal and Poultry Diseases. View a list of current Subcommittee members.

Issue Based Working Groups

A Brand State Working Group has been established to provide further input on the implementation of NAIS. The working group provides an opportunity to explore potential solutions and discuss issues that need to be addressed with regard to brands.
